Across the Great Divide
It's all downhill to the Mississippi from here.
It took a while to pull Bozo away from the bordello museum in Wallace but the threat of a pin did the trick. We couldn't afford time for his fantasy 'cause it's a seven hour drive to Billings.
No accident excitement today. Cars, trucks and trailers all behaved themselves. A pretty uneventful day except for some of the prettiest valleys outside of the Cascades. I admit prejudice here. I'm sure the folks in the Yellowstone valley, the last 4 shots in the blog today, would understand.
The first few are on the way up, concluding w/ Bozo at the rest stop at our East/West version of the equator, the Continental Divide. Click through the pics for the "full" experience.
This was my first time for multiple shots uploaded. I'll try other formats as we continue on the Burning Bridges Tour.
Using this old Asus net book on hinky internet connections is a slow task. Once we get home it will be time for a new laptop. This box is 7 - 8 yrs old and was better than what I had at work at the time. Gotta work with what you got. Same as at the "B".
Travel advice time:
Staying at the Lexington Inn & Suites. It's worth the soldi. There are less expensive but this compares well any Best Western or Holiday Inn. Definitely better than a Holiday Inn Express.
Dinner tonight at Johnny Carino's Italian (naturally) Restaurant right across the parking lot. Big beer list w/ a free 16 ounce w/ the entree tonight. Due to my sugarbetes I had to turn it down. No cocktails or hard liquor. A real disappointment. How can you have an Italian restaurant w/o a real bar? The wine list was pretty limited too. The Clos Du Bois California Cab was the highest priced red but was worth it.
Ciao for now.
